Today was a family day. Our town has reinstated curfews. Only necessary travel is recommended. So, to make the day more pleasant, I offered to barbecue. This kept me on my feet most of the day.
I was able to increase my baseline walking just from walking between the grill and the kitchen. We also walked around the grocery store. I tried getting more steps by walking around the house.
Today was the first time I have barbecued pork ribs. They turned out crispy on the outside and super soft in the inside. A bit more and they would have fallen off the bone.
I asked my family if they had a good day. They agree that it was pleasant.
Tomorrow, we will still be eating leftovers. Barbecue is one leftover my family will eat. Other foods stay in the refrigerator. If I don’t eat the leftovers, they go to waste. Except barbecue. They’ll eat that for as long as it lasts.
