This morning I am making my way home from Baltimore, Maryland. The NFMT conference was educational and inspiring for me professionally.
This is my first 5 AM departure. Along with going to bed late, waking at 3:30 AM was rough. Sleeping on the plane is atypical for me. This time was an exception on the first leg of my trip. The second leg is only about an hour, so no chance of napping. Fortunately they serve coffee on the flight. I can’t wait to rest in my own bed soon.
It was a surprise that I flew to BWI. I thought I had booked the flight to IAD. It wasn’t until this morning before taking a taxi that it became known to me. It is difficult to know with certainty if I have visited an airport because the terminals change. Today at IAH, for example, my flight is using a gate I didn’t even know existed. It was a bit confusing because it looks like another gate, except it works differently. This is why I did not realize that I was at BWI and not IAD. Airports often lack design consistency.
I should arrive home soon. It is time to make friends with a cup of coffee while I wait for my next flight.
