Lately, I have been transferring Steem into my Hive account as fast as power downs permit. I think perhaps I will reach 2000 HP when I am done. There is a big chunk of Steem that is locked up in leases. These should be available within the next two months, not including power down time.
I currently have about 900 HP delegated out in leases. HP leases yield a decent return on my otherwise unused asset. The only downside to leasing out my Hive Power is that it also reduces the value of my posts and votes.
I can't help thinking that I might grow my account a bit faster if I stop delegating HP out. Between posting and voting, I would likely create a better return than by leasing. It will be exciting to reach 2000 HP and also to have a majority of the HP at my disposal. It has been pleasing to see the value of my votes increase as the size of my account increases. It has been a long road getting this far. I can't imagine the struggle of those who have become dolphins just from posting. That is a tremendous amount of work.
